Volunteering With Us
Minimum stay of 2 weeks (preferably 1 month). We request a financial contribution of between $25 and $50 per month (depending on your financial situation) to help towards expenses.
Stays of longer than 1 month are welcome and negotiated on an individual basis at the end of the first month. We ask for a further contribution of $25-$50 for the first 3 months and then $15-$50 from the 4th month onwards..
Different arrangements for very long stay volunteers can be discussed after at least 3 months of living at the community.
Work
Everyone works for 5 hours per day.
Cooking and washing up is done on a rota basis and everyone is expected to do one task for one of the meals every day.
Days off/ Free Days
After 5 days of work you have 2 consecutive days off and can either stay at the farm and relax or go traveling. |

Accommodation
We have 2 dormitories and 3 tipis. If you have your own tent you are also welcome to camp, this is often a nice option for couples who want some private space. We have composting toilets and solar showers, and we have solar powered electricity. Smoking is permitted in all areas apart from bedrooms and the yoga/meditation room.
Community life and activities
We cook and eat all meals together and meet once per week as a community to talk. Yoga is offered for free throughout the week for those who want to take part, and occasional meditation or workshops in the afternoons. We hold sweat lodge ceremonies on the full or new moon and often host shamanic fire ceremonies. We enjoy singing Taize chants and Hindu chants. We have 2 guitars, 3 drums, a pool table, and other games.

"THE SHOP" is run on an honesty basis and is available for those unhealthy moments when we need chocolate, chips, beer etc. There is a mobile phone for incoming calls, calling taxis and emergencies only. To use internet or make phone calls you are best to go to Guayllabamba which is approximately 40 minutes by bus.
Massages and Reiki sessions are offered by Nicky in the afternoons or on your days off on a donation or exchange basis.
